Information for Parents

Parents can stay on the Vanderbilt campus while their child is participating in the program or they are more than welcome to explore the Nashville community or return home and pick their student up at the end of the day.

Information for parents regarding event logistics can be found on our FAQ page and will be sent out closer to the day of the event. Vanderbilt Splash will contact you and your student via email, so check your inbox for additional instructions closer to the day of the event. If you have additional questions, feel free to email us at vanderbiltsplash@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you and your student at Vanderbilt Splash!

Please make sure that your student has filled out this this liability waiver, you have signed it, and that your student brings it with them to campus on October 29th. If you want your child to be able to sign themselves in and out of the program, please also fill out this form.

Event Logistics

Parking - Visitor parking is available on Vanderbilt's campus in the Wesley Place Garage and the Terrace Place Garage for $5/day on the weekends. For more information, click here. There is also metered parking on the streets surrounding campus that is free on the weekends.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up - Students can be dropped off in front of Kirkland Hall. Parents can drive around Kirkland Circle, which is accessible via West End Avenue, to drop their students off in front of Kirkland Hall. There will be signs at the entrance and our volunteers will be in front of the building from 8:00 am to 9:00 am with posters to welcome students who are dropped off. Students can either be picked up in front of Kirkland Hall or they can meet who will be picking them up at the check-in location in Calhoun Hall.

Checking In - Student check-in is located in Furman Hall starting at 8:30 am and ending at 9:00 am. You can view a campus map here (printable version). If you are walking from Kirkland Hall, volunteers will be stationed in the area to help show the way. Students will be allowed to sign themselves in and out of the event. After a student has signed out, we are not responsible for supervising them.
